Maintain adequate inventory of in process material at work stations

Essential Functions

  • Insures in shop housekeeping including: skid/pallet removal, parts routing, sweeping and rubbish removal.
  • Understand parts routing to accomplish material movement within Manufacturing and Assembly Department.
  • Company vehicle driver to deliver and pick-up components and material as necessary.
  • Operates “chip slinger” to process machined turnings for reclaim.
  • Demonstrates ability to help in maintenance, assembly and machine shop for simple tasks.
  • Assists in removing and separating scrap.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Required High School diploma and/or trade school.
  • Must possess a valid driver license with a good driving record.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Ability to complete repetitive tasks with no attention, quality or productivity loss.
  • Working in a manufacturing environment in a safe manner for employee, employees, product, and machinery.
  • Communicated effectively with team members as well as management.
  • Ability to work in a co-worker team environment.
  • Keeps work area clean and organized.

Physical Requirementse

Required to stand for extended periods. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, lift and walk. Maximum unassisted lift is 30 pounds. The proper PPE is required.

Environmental Conditions

Working in a non-air conditioned manufacturing environment in a safe manner for employee, employees, product and machinery.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Assemble/disassemble valves. Determine probable cause(s) for valve “fail” at test and accomplish all that is required to collect data, part marking and/or corrective action as outlined with in the procedures or by the supervisor

Essential Functions

  • Visually quality check foundry and machining defects.
  • Accomplishes component assembly and testing with no supervision.
  • Capable of operating overhead hoists, forklifts in a safe manner.
  • Extensive experience using pressure test equipment; air and hydro from 100-9000PSI.
  • Good working knowledge of valve figure numbers.
  • Ability to identify component parts by part marking or number.
  • Obtain a highly effective rate of reliability at assembly and test.
  • Recognize trouble and minimize product, tool and machine trouble.
  • Ability to use basic math skills and manual dexterity
  • Knowledgeable with reading blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products  
  • Experience with use of inspection and measurement tools.
  • Measure product dimensions, examine functionality and compare the final product to the specifications
  • Responsible for quality of work.
  • Capable of completing supporting paperwork efficiently
  • Communicate effectively with team members as well as management
  • Assist with quality inspection
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • High School diploma and 1-2 yrs manufacturing experience.
  • Lifting product, supplies and equipment as necessary to accomplish the task as assigned.
  • Complete assigned routine tasks with little supervision.

  • Ability to work in a co-worker team environment.
  • Keeps works area clean and organized.

Set up and operate a variety of machines to produce/modify precision parts. Includes applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures

Essential Functions

  • Set up and operate a variety of machines to produce/modify precision parts. Includes applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
  • Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
  • Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations.
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Determine the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
  • Determine causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
  • Time Management of one's own time and the time of others.
  • The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
  • The ability to adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions quickly and repeatedly.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Can assist QC in determining control dimensions to be charted.
